‘Don’t Explain’ is a long form music video to Billie Holiday’s ‘Don’t Explain’. How a woman leaves a cheating husband in style.

Sorry, bills get in the way. I do wedding videos to make a living and I have no time for any personal projects. I hope to have something in the future. Thanks for the support.

Here I am, almost a year later…
Still loving the song and the film but saddened by the fact that you did not feel need to upload more works.
How could you not, with such talent..?
Very disappointed with you.

You’re right she doesn’t live him. It adds to the beauty of the song.

I created it from differnet loops in Soundtrack Pro from Final Cut Studio 2.

Somehow it seems to me overstated visual cliche to do this to Holiday’s song, which she wrote about her husband Jim Monroe. She gives me a clear enough, even gut wrenching, picture of the meaning with her lyrics & vocal, requiring no furter assistance. Perhaps I merely prefer allowing the tune/lyric, & her living & singing of this to evoke the mood, meaning and scene. Our imaginations should be up to this. Just as a great painting needs no explanation. The artist has done that work.Don’t Explain.

very good vid…

You are right, but, the twist is she is leaving him at the same time she is leaving behind all the evidence she has had to endure from the other woman. It is a different take on a woman’s response to cheating.

I don’t think she should have left him. The tragic beauty of the song comes from the fact that she doesn’t leave him.
It’s still a good vid, though.

That said, it is a very good video. I’m glad you’ve used this version of ‘Don’t explain’. I’ll be keeping an eye on you from now on.
Looking forward for new videos.
